Lady Bulldogs earn all-district

The Moran varsity girls basketball team had six members recognized with honors in District 13 - 1A.

Sophomore Hannah Noble received second team All-District, and sophomores Alli Scott and Emily Murk received Honorable Mention.

Senior Dariann Hawley and junior Hannah Rogers received Honorable Mention and Academic All-District.

Junior Johnnie Hise received Academic All-District. 

Moran boys varsity basketball honors have not been announced as there is a district basketball team still in the playoffs. 

Moran Track

The Moran varsity track team members are scheduled to begin their season on Thursday, March 4.

The team is scheduled to travel to Rising Star for its first meet. 

Track coaches for the team are head coach John Hughes, Matthew Hise, and Rob Londerholm. 

Junior High Track

The Moran junior high track team members participated in their first meet of the season on Monday, March 1 in Rising Star.

Boys Results

Chase Murk placed third in the 110 meter hurdles, third in the 100 meter dash, and fifth in the 400 meter dash. 

Cotton Campbell placed sixth in shot put.

Girls Results

Leanna Sikes placed third in shot put and Zoe Casey placed fifth in the 100 meter dash. 

Jayla Bussell was fifth in the 800 meter dash, and fifth in the 400 meter dash. 

Electra McGough placed third in the 400 meter dash, and Julianna Cottle placed first in the 400 meter dash. 

Cassandra Mendez placed fourth in the 400 meter dash. 

The mile relay team of Bussell, McGough, Cottle, and Mendez placed third in the mile relay. 

The next junior high track meet will be on Monday, March 15 at the May Tiger Relays.
