Keitler wins at 4-H contest

Shackelford County extension agent and 4-H sponsor Kloey Painter said local 4-H members have been busy with competitions and workshops during this busy spring season.

Shooting Sports 

Extravaganza

Three members participated in the 4-H Shooting Sports Extravaganza held in Brownwood on Saturday, April 17.

Landon Kreitler won first place in two different categories – moving targets and air pistol targets.

Also competing were Carly Kreitler and Jace Holmes.

4-H Horse Clinic

The 4-H horse clinic will be held Saturday, April 24, with a focus on teaching participants the basics of horse polo.

Attendees will get to learn to use polo equipment and then get to practice on horseback.

The clinic will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Lazy 3 Ranch. Horses will be provided.

4-H Fashion Show

Senior 4-H member Johnnie Hise of Moran has signed up to compete in the upcoming 4-H Fashion Show.

Painter said the contest will be held on Friday, April 30 in San Angelo.
