Hospital early voting continues

Early voting for the May 1 local election is underway and will continue through Tuesday, April 27.

The hospital board has the only locally contested race in Shackelford County, 

Four candidates have filed for the three available at-large seats on the Shackelford County hospital board. 

The ballot lists incumbents Mike Folsom, Jo Ann Estridge, and Leslie Belcher, along with challenger Mary Boland. 

All voting will be done at the EMS station located at 840 Gregg Street for early and regular election voting.

Voters will need to present a drivers license to vote, and election officials Dee Balliew and Ann King will run the election for all dates. 

Mail-in Ballots

The last day to apply for a ballot by mail was Tuesday, April 20.

Mail-in ballots must be received by election officials, at the address specified on the ballot, before the close of voting, 7:00 p.m. on May 4.
