Moran’s Johnnie Hise will speak at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fields of Faith program on Wednesday at Abilene Wylie.

“Paul Johnston nominated Johnnie to speak,” Moran principal Jo Hise said. “They pull up four or five seniors from the area to give their testimony or tell about how FCA has impacted them.”

Johnston serves as an area representative for FCA.

“Fields of Faith is a big youth rally,” he said. There’ll be a lot of kids from a lot of schools, with music, testimonies, and a speaker.”

School Pictures

Moran will take school photos on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

“The seniors will have their portraits made that day,” Jo Hise said. “They’ll do caps and gowns and formal dress.”

Teacher Workday

Moran ISD will not have classes on Monday as the district conducts a teacher workday.

“The students have a holiday that day,” Jo Hise said. “The staff will reach out to parents concerning grades, attendance, and anything else they need to speak to the parents about.”

Constitution Week

Moran is wrapping up Constitution Week, which began last Friday.

“The DAR committee members from the Lee’s Legion came over Monday and did a readers theater on how the constitution was created,” Jo Hise said.
