New and ongoing recipients of Albany ISD Education Foundation scholarships need to provide proof of enrollment in order to receive their benefit for the fall 2020 semester.

New 2020 graduate recipients need proof of enrollment and the letter that was in the scholarship envelope they received at graduation.

This is the 11th year for the Foundation scholarships, with an additional $25,000 in awards given this spring.

Funds come from the Albany ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, to which anyone may donate. The main source of funding was proceeds from a 10-year agreement with the wind farms within the school district, but those agreements have expired.

The scholarships have been presented to a total of 275 Albany High School graduates over the past 11 years, some of them receiving the awards for multiple years, provided they are full-time students in an eligible institution.
