Golf tourney planned Oct. 2

The 13th Annual Albany Kiwanis Charity/John Rose & Jim Law Memorial Golf Tournament and Fajita Fiesta will take place at the Albany Golf Course on Friday, Oct. 2.

Individuals and businesses can help sponsor the Albany K Charity Scholarship Fund.

The four-person scramble is $50 per golfer, with the fee to include a Fajita Fiesta meal provided by   Albany Kiwanis Club members on Friday before the start of the tournament.

The luncheon starts at 11:00 a.m., and tickets are $15 for those not entered in the tournament.

The golf tournament has a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. 

Mulligans are available for purchase at $10 each.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest drive on hole nine, closest to the line on hole four, closest to the hole on five, six, and eight, closest to the markers on holes number one, two, three and seven, and top scoring teams.

Sponsorships for the event are available at several levels and vary from hole sponsors at $175 each up to the platinum sponsor level at $1,000. 

Sponsors who want to make sure that their name is on the advertising need to contact organizers by Monday, Sept. 25. Late sponsorships will still be accepted after that date, but the organizers can not guarantee that the late sponsorships will be acknowledged on all the advertising.

Registrations for the golf tournament will be accepted through Thursday, Oct. 1, as long as there are spots available.
