Fundraiser set Feb. 28 for Project Graduation
By Sandy Morris
Project Graduation organizers have announced their next fundraiser for the annual celebration held for Albany’s graduating seniors.
Senior parent and organizer Tisha Wilkins reported this week that the next fundraiser will be a ‘To-Go’ lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 at The Feed Store.
The menu will include chicken spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drink, and homemade dessert. Donations will be accepted as payment.
“A drive-through area will be set up on the south side of the building on FM 1084 for meal pickup,” said Wilkins. “Seniors will go out, take the orders, and then deliver the orders back to the waiting cars.”
Wilkins said the fundraiser will continue until they sell out of food.
Seniors can earn credit by bringing food assigned on the food list no later than Wednesday, Feb. 24 and by helping on the day of the fundraiser.
Parents who help with the fundraiser by preparing orders also will help earn credit for their senior.
“If seniors are unable to bring their assigned food items, they will need to contact me,” Wilkins said.
Valentine’s Fundraiser
Project Graduation organizers just completed a major Valentine’s Day fundraiser.
According to Wilkins, the Valentine fundraiser went very well.
“This is the biggest one that I have ever been involved in,” Wilkins said. “We sold over 2,100 truffles in addition to lots of candy orders.”
