Football program ad sales underway

Albany News

Parents and grandparents of Albany students, as well as businesses and other school supporters, still have almost two weeks to contact a member of the Albany Athletic Booster Club to have an ad included in the 2018 football program.

The magazine-type program is sold at all of the home football games and is typically the Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

The Albany Athletic Booster Club uses the money raised to help support all of the high school and junior high sports, according to treasurer Shawnee Tischler.

“Purchasing an ad is a way to show off and support your child, whether they are in athletics or not,” said Tischler. “It is for any child at the school, and is also an inexpensive advertisement for your business.”

Ad prices are $225 for a full page, $120 for a half page, $60 for a quarter page, and $30 for business card size.

“We have a lot of volunteers helping us, so folks that haven’t been called yet should expect a call this week,” said Tischler.

Local individuals and business owners who wish to be included in the 2018 Albany Lion home football programs should contact a member of the Albany Athletic Booster Club before the Wednesday, Aug. 1 deadline if they do not get a call.

“If you don’t hear from us, please call Shawnee or me,” said club president Mindy Ary.

Tischler can be reached at 325-721-4776. Ary’s phone number is 325-762-2447, ext. 112.

The volleyball motto this year is “COMMIT” and the football motto is “Make Your Mark.”
