On June 21, Jimmy Dye, James Shelton, and James Cotter stepped down from the First National Bank Albany/Breckenridge Board of Directors after a combined 40 years of dedicated service.

James Shelton, a highly established bank consultant, spent 47 years in banking and now resides in Moran on his family ranch with his wife Sarah of 58 years. He was a longtime president of the Breckenridge location.

James (Jim) Cotter is a longtime Albany resident and is founder and co-owner of James H. Cotter, Neff and Co., a local CPA firm. Semi-retired from the company, he and his wife Ada Ruth continue to live in Albany.

Jimmy Dye, president and CEO of R.E. Dye Manufacturing Corp., resides in Breckenridge.

“On behalf of First National Bank Albany/Breckenridge and myself, we would like to thank Mr. Dye, Mr. Shelton, and Mr. Cotter for their commitment to the bank and for the years they have each served on the board,” Tim Cooper, CEO and Chairman of First National Bank Albany/Breckenridge stated.

He added that the three retirees have been a vital part in FNB’s growth and the advances the bank has made over the years.

“Board service is not easy. It is one of the toughest volunteer roles of all,” Cooper said.“Their dedication and perseverance has been nothing but admirable during my short time here, and I can only hope to make these men proud as we move forward.”

The FNB staff and other directors have expressed appreciation for the leadership of the retiring board members.

“The entire First National Bank Albany/Breckenridge family is truly grateful to these outgoing members who have volunteered their time to guide the bank, dedicating significant time and energy to help chart the bank’s past, present and future, and helping the bank grow as a supportive and collective organization,” said Lindsey Hurd, FNB Community Reinvestment Act Officer and Marketing Officer.
