Workers at Resource Care Community Health Center have organized a new fundraiser and sponsorships and tickets for CareFest 2018 are currently available.

Gates at Happy Wife Happy Life will open for CareFest 2018 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, the music will begin at 1:00 p.m., and the party will end at 1:00 a.m., early Sunday morning.

“We’ve limited it to a maximum of 1,000 people this year, since this is our first time to hold the event,” said organizer Ragan Riley. “Ticket sales are discounted until the end of July. Prices will increase on Aug. 1.”

Tickets are sold through outhousetickets.com, and vary in costs from $50 (plus fees and taxes) for general admission to $250 for one of the VIP tickets, while sponsorships are still available from the $750 to the $3,000 levels.

Only 50 VIP tickets will be available. VIP ticket holders will have access to front row seating at both stages, an all day buffet meal, homemade desserts, snacks, and drinks, and an area to meet and greet the musicians.

“Happy Wife Happy Life’s beautiful and elegant ‘barn’ will house our VIP and All Access holders,” said program director Mindy Ary. “The barn features beautiful chandeliers, men and women’s restrooms, and the most important aspect on a hot August day, air conditioning!”

Musicians scheduled to play at the first annual CareFest fundraiser are Jenna McDaniel, Johnny Cooper, Sierra Scott Band, Steve Helms, Wandering Daisy, Randy Brown, Phil Hamilton, Larry Joe Taylor, Brandon Rhyder, Deryl Dodd, and Bart Crow.

“We’ve gotten a lot of sponsors,” said Riley. “But we still have sponsorships available at several of the levels. Contact Mindy (Ary) or me to get your logo included in all our advertising and on our merchandise.”

All the money raised by the event will be used locally in the six towns where ResourceCare is located, included in Albany where it will be used to offset the amount still needed to finance the costs of Summer Day Camp, according to Riley.

“The rest of the funds from CareFest will be used toward projects like ASPIRE and Vittles By Vehicle,” Riley added. “We also want to make donations to nonprofits, one in each of our communities.”
