FFA teams begin CDE competition

Albany FFA students face a full spring schedule with four career development events before the end of March.

The first CDE was held March 21 at Cisco College, primarily meant as a practice for other meets, including March 23 at Tarleton State University, March 24 at Angelo State University, and March 28 at Weatherford.

On April 1-2, students Kolt Koemel, Judson Rogers, Briley Tabor, and Donald McCullough will compete in the calf scramble at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo.

On April 5, Albany FFA will attend the Region 5 wildlife contest, followed the next day by the Sweetwater FFA contest.

The Big Country District/Area 4 contest is scheduled for April 5 at Tarleton State.

The State Texas Tech CDE will be held April 21-22 at Lubbock. The Big Country District Degree Check is scheduled for April 24.

The final April event is April 27 at the State TSU CDE in Stephenville.

Albany FFA wraps up its year May 15 with the Area 4 convention at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.
