The Albany High School FFA chapter has elected officers for the school year and is in the process of charting the course of its projects.

“We installed officers a couple of weeks ago,” Albany FFA sponsor Chris Beard said. “We’re having a meeting to figure out goals for both our fundraisers and our chapter as a whole.”

Leddie Leech will serve as president with Gracie Price as vice president. Kam Browning was elected secretary, Susie Cormack was named treasurer, and Cole Chapman is the reporter.

Other officers are Lizzie Chavez - sentinel, Robyn Trail - historian, Ty Everitt - parliamentarian, and Chloé  Anderson - chaplain.

Price was elected as FFA Sweetheart with Koy Cauble named FFA Beau.

“The kids are very involved in different aspects of the community, not just FFA,” Beard said. “This is a great group, and I look for great things out of them as far as the leadership roles that will carry on for our community and schools.”

Beard said Leech will also serve as vice president for the Big Country District.

“The officers are going to bring a lot of new ideas that will help the FFA be successful,” Beard said.
