The Feed Store will host its annual Life Skills program for high school juniors and seniors on Wednesday, April 10.

The morning includes instruction on topics the students will soon need to take care of for them selves.

“The juniors and seniors don’t need to be on campus that day because of the testing for underclassmen, so they come here,” Feed Store director Tisha Wilkins said. “We’ll have different rotations set up.”

Auto maintenance includes tasks like checking oil and changing a flat tire.

“Someone from the bank will give financial savings advice,” Wilkins said. “The school nurse will give a mini training in first aid and CPR. Connie Wood talks about job interview manners and thank you note etiquette.”

Another session, conducted by a police officer, concerns how to act when dealing with law enforcement, such as what to do if you get stopped.

The students will be served lunch before being bused back to school.
