Because of staffing at the Hendrick Regional Blood Center, this month’s blood drive in Albany will move from the usual Thursday afternoon time slot to a Monday, set for Monday, Feb. 26 instead of the original Feb. 22 date.

There is also an extra perk for donors, with a chance to win tickets to see Parker McCollum in Abilene on April 4.

“Anyone who donates will be entered into our drawing to win two tickets,” said Lauren Spindler, marketing and business development manager for the Blood Center. “We encourage everyone to donate and help with our continued blood shortage.”

The time and location are the same, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church parking lot, according to Spindler.

Other 2024 drives will stay on Thursdays unless adjustments are needed.

Scheduled for roughly eight-week intervals, this year’s remaining blood drives are planned on May 23, July 18, Sept. 12, and Nov. 14.
