The opening sound of the bugle call marking the first of four performances of the Fort Griffin Fandangle is just over two weeks away, with ticket sales and rehearsals now in full swing.

Fandangle office manager Jamie Parsons said that ticket sales for May are up from a year ago.

“We still have seats tfor each of the four performances, but anyone planning to attend should get tickets as soon as possible,” she said.

Tickets can be purchased online at fortgriffinfandangle.org and selecting the link for “tickets.” Tickets are $15 each and buyers get to select their seats. Special pricing is available for groups of 20 or more, along with active military and veterans.

Box seats cost $20 per seat and are sold in complete boxes only of $80, $120, or $160.

VIP tables with seating for eight are also available for each show. The tables are located in the upper left section of the theater. the tables are available for $160 each and there is a total of six tables for eight available.

The tables are also available on the website or by calling the Fandangle office at 325-762-3838.

Parsons noted that memberships to the association are still available, starting at $25 for those over age 65 and $75 for a regular membership.

Rehearsals

Artistic director Lorna Ayers reported that rehearsals are going really well, but pointed out that cast and crew members should watch their schedules starting next week.

“There are changes to rehearsals starting next week,” she said. “We will start putting the show together next week instead of practicing special parts or songs.”

Rehearsal schedules can be found on the website until the “cast” tab. The password is 2022.

Rehearsals will be held on Monday through Thursday next week starting at 7:30 p.m., with the first half on Monday and Wednesday. The second half practices are on Tuesday and Thursday.

The final four rehearsals on June 13-16 will include the entire show, with dress rehearsal on Thursday, June 16.

Ayers said cast and crew members should watch their REMIND app for any changes in rehearsals.

The app will also be used to notify the cast when to come to the costume room in the box car.

“The cast is so large that we are dividing up over several dates the days that people come for costumes,” Ayers said.
