A new president was elected and four directors were re-elected to another term at the annual membership meeting of the Fort Griffin Fandangle Association held Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Henry Musselman was elected as president for the upcoming year, while former president Branch Bartee stepped down to the office of vice president. Gaye Davis was picked as treasurer and Pam Davis will serve as secretary.

Four of the five directors whose terms were ending were re-elected to three-year terms including Lauren Willen, Dustin Parsons, John Ayers, and Shelly Bartee. Lesley Jones opted to allow his term to end, leaving one seat on the board open at this time.

The board voted to produce the 2022 performances of the Fandangle on a motion by Pam Davis. The dates are June 17-18 and June 24-25. Next summer will mark the 84th anniversary of the show.

The group also voted to hold a membership sampler in the spring. However, the date and location have not been decided.

Contracts for the artistic director Lorna Ayers and music director Sandy Abel were renewed for the upcoming season as well.

Other directors currently serving on the board whose terms have not expired include Treca Edington, Branch Bartee, Bucky Nail, Henry Musselman, Pam Davis, Cody Leech, Lanham Martin, Gaye Davis, and Steve Riley.

Jamie Parsons will continue to serve as the office manager.
