The Albany Parent Teacher Organization will hold a meeting at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the cafeteria of Nancy Smith Elementary School to work on planning the 2018 Fall Festival.

Room parents, class parents, and at least one student council officer or representative from each grade at the secondary school should attend the meeting, and others that are interested in volunteering are also welcome, according to organizer Malarie Sutton.

“This will be a very brief meeting,” Sutton said. “We will go over the sign-up sheets for the workers.”

Sutton will also explain what the PTO plans to do with funds raised by the event.

Proceeds from the carnival benefit all the students in Albany ISD, those at the secondary campus as well as those at NSES, so students and parents from all grade levels are encouraged to help with the fundraiser, according to Sutton.

The 2018 Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m.
