Exhibitors earn spots in Houston

Albany FFA students continued their participation in major stock shows over spring break with stops in Houston and Austin.

At the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Jake Hale competed in the Commercial Steer contest, finishing in the premium salewithhisChoice2steers weighing 1,350 pounds. Hale also received an extra $500 hardship award for the loss of one of his steers.

In the heifer show, Madailein Beardplacedfourth in her class with a Junior Hereford.

At the Star of Texas Rodeo Austin Stock Show, Kenzie Neve placed fifth in her class with a Shorthorn steer. Jaxson Hoel participated intheAllOtherCross division.

The Houston Show concludes Tuesday, March 19 with the Austin show continuing until Monday, March 25.
