In addition to upcoming youth and children’s activities signaling the start of the school year, a couple of events are being planned for local women in the next couple of weeks, one of them a single-night “encouragement” program and the other an in-depth weekly Bible study.

Women’s Night at Bethel Assembly is set for Wednesday, Sept. 8, starting at 7:00 p.m. Worship will be followed by a segment from Jennie Allen and Friends, “IF:Lead 2021.”

The women’s gathering is open to everyone 18 and over, according to Betsy Spraberry, who asked that ladies RSVP on her Facebook page.

On Sept. 16, an international, interdenominational Ladies Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) will begin a weekly study of “The Unexpected King...Matthew’s Account of Jesus” from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays. MMPC is hosting the study, and all ladies in the community are welcome.

For information, contact Ashley Moon, 325-370-4484.

Children & Youth

In the meantime, several churches are kicking off their youth and children’s Wednesday night activities, including Sept. 1 for MMPC and Church of Christ, and Sept. 8 for Friendship Baptist and First Baptist JAM. FBC youth activities are already underway.
