The Albany Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a festive holiday season with several events on tap.

Chamber manager Mary Beth Jones said Albany Bucks tickets, the Lighted Christmas Parade, and memorial ornament sales are once again on the calendar.

Jones said the Chamber is looking for volunteers to help put up holiday decorations through downtown and along Main Street on Nov. 20. Anyone interested in helping is asked to be in the downtown area at 9:00 a.m.

On Nov. 27, the annual Lighted Christmas Parade will be held at 6:00 p.m. Participants can call or come by the Chamber office to register their floats.

The top three floats will be awarded prizes, Jones said. She asked that entries be made by Nov. 23.

“Anyone who’s thinking about participating can talk to any Chamber board member or call the Chamber office,” Jones said.

The parade will conclude the events for Small Town Saturday.

“The more people who enter, the better the event turns out to be, so start planning now,” Jones said.

Jones reminds everyone that floats will need to be well lit.
