New and ongoing recipients of the Albany ISD Education Foundation scholarships need to provide proof of enrollment in order to receive their awards for the fall 2022 semester.

A total of 30 new 2022 graduate recipients need proof of enrollment, which is typically a class schedule for the fall semester, and the award letter that was in the scholarship envelope they received at graduation.

“We’ve only had three or four graduates contact us so far,” said AISD administrative assistant Lynsi Musselman. “The sooner we get the information, the quicker we can issue the checks.”

This is the 13th year for the Foundation scholarships, with an additional $30,000 in awards given this spring.

Funds come from the Albany ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, to which anyone may donate.

The scholarships have been presented to a total of 336 Albany High School graduates over the past 13 years, some of them receiving the award for multiple years, provided they are full-time students in an eligible institution.
