The meeting of the Shackelford County Hospital District’s board of directors failed to draw a quorum on Monday, April 15, but those present informally discussedafewitems to be placed on the agenda for the May session.

Paramedic Kraymer Harbold suggested that the district sponsor a community-wide contest to come up with a new logo for the EMS, especially in light of the new ambulance coming later in the year.

He also mentioned that the EMS would soon need to change from an analog radio system to digital.

He had priced five radios with mics, which would provide one unit each for the on-duty crew and one each for the back-up crew, as well as an extra radio. The cost is expected to be around $10,000.
