AHS counselor Dee Dee Waggoner has scheduled a dual credit meeting for 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, April 18 in the Albany High cafeteria.

“We will host representatives from Cisco College’s dual credit and financial aid departments,” said Waggoner. “Any students interested in taking dual credit classes and their parents should attend.”

Dual credit allows high school students to earn college credit and high school credit concurrently.

Benefits of taking dual credit classes can include reducing the time and money required to earn an undergraduate college degree, preparing the student for success at college, and developing skills and gaining experience in career and technology fields prior to high school graduation.

The meeting is geared toward high school students who are considering taking dual credit classes at Cisco College.
