This Sunday afternoon, July 31, Albany High School students who are interested in dual-credit classes through Cisco College are asked to meet at the secondary library starting at 2:00 p.m., along with one or both of their parents.

The session was originally scheduled for June 3 but was postponed because of conflicts.

AISD career counselor Jenny Scott and new school counselor Kelly Windham will present the dual-credit course offerings for the 2022-2023 school year.

Eligibility requirements will be discussed, and required forms will be handed out to interested students.

AHS currently partners with Cisco College to provide opportunities to concurrently earn academic credit in high school and college.

Students who have already requested dual-credit courses through Cisco College should have received an email with instructions and paperwork that needs to be completed and turned in at the meeting, according to Scott.

“The purpose of this meeting will be to complete forms required by the college to register for courses as well as let parents and students know what to expect in these classes,” said Scott.

All students who are  interested in taking dual credit courses next year are encouraged to attend with a parent/guardian.
