Donors encouraged to adopt teachers

The link to the Christmas Wish List for Albany school teachers and staff is now available on the Facebook page for the AJHS Academic Booster Club.

Club members are once again inviting the community to “adopt” a member of the school staff by fulfilling one or more entries on the Christmas Wish List submitted by teachers and staff members.

The wish lists are hosted on SignUpGenious.com and a link is available on the AJSH Academic Booster Club Facebook page.

Anyone wanting to participate must first follow the link on Facebook in order to access the lists provided by staff members. Some staff members have asked for specific items, while others are suggesting gift cards to Amazon or some other online  merchant.

The project is sponsored by the “Rise and Shine” committee of the AJSH Academic Booster Club.

Staff members who are asking for specific items on Amazon or other national retail sites provided links to items, which will need to be copied and pasted into the donor’s browser to be active.

The staff was asked to list two or three items with a maximum value of $50 to be placed on the website.

“This is a great opportunity to encourage and support teachers and staff members who educate our children,” committee member Audrey Peterson said.

Parents and community members are asked to deliver the items or gift card to the schools no later than Monday, Dec. 19.

Teachers and staff at both campuses have been asked to participate, as well as the administrative office personnel.
