Disaster relief donations accepted

Friendship Baptist Church and the Albany Ministerial Alliance are continuing to accept donations for disaster relief in Eastland and Jack counties.

Friendship Baptist is accepting water and nonperishable items to deliver to tornado victims in Jacksboro, as well as donations for those impacted by wildfires in Eastland County. Items may be delivered to the church’s activity building, which will remain open. Contributions can be placed inside the hallway.

Monetary donations may be made for both fire and tornado relief efforts to the Albany Ministerial Alliance. Checks should include a notation designating funds for disaster relief.

Local efforts include more than 500 bales of hay collected from contributors  for delivery to fire victims Eastland County. Anyone else who would like to help can contact Mike Parsons.

First Financial Bank is also accepting physical donations for the relief effort.Monetary donations may be made online at www.cfabilene.org/firerelief.
