Deadline today for parents night out

Parents have until noon today (Thursday, Feb. 8) to register their child for First Baptist Church’s monthly Parents Night Out childcare program.

Children from infants through sixth grade are eligible. The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.

“Let us take care of the kids for the parents while they go on a Valentine date,” FBC children’s minister GingerBumguardner said. “We’ll be doing Valentine- related activities. (Five hours) should give parents time to run to Abilene, catch a movie and get back, maybe have a quick dinner.”

The cost is $20 for the first child, $20 for the second child, and a family maximum cost of $40.

Children can bring a sack supper or the church can provide dinner for an extra $5 per 5-year-old and up.Children4yearsoldand under eat free.

“We’ll do some crafts, some Bible stories and lots of games, then we’ll end with a movie,” Bumguardner said.“Iftheywanttofall asleeponthefloorwatching the movie, that’s okay.”
