Day Camp registration set June 1-3

As the school year is winding down, summer is about to kick off, and ResourceCare is opening up registration for Day Camp 2021.

ResourceCare programs assistant Ragan Riley said registration for the annual program will be held next week on June 1 to June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Albany Youth Center.

Actual camp dates are July 12 to July 30.

“All campers must be registered during these three days next week,” said Riley. “We will not be able to sign up children for the program after June 3.”

Parents who are unable to attend the scheduled registration dates will need to contact Riley or Mindy Ary at 325-762-2447 before June 1 to set up an alternate time.

Required paperwork will need to be completed in order for a child to attend Day Camp including permission and allergy forms, as well as prescription release forms for campers who will need medication during camp hours. 

Day Camp is free to registered children who are at least three years of age and potty trained through those going into sixth grade. 

The staff will provide free food for the children while they are at camp. 

Staff and Volunteers

Summer Day Camp is run by paid staff and volunteers. 

To be considered for paid staff, applicants need to be an entering freshman in high school through seniors, including some graduates.

Volunteer positions are for applicants entering seventh and eighth grades. 

Incoming seventh graders can apply for a volunteer position from June 1 to June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., which is the same time children can be enrolled in camp.
