Members of the Albany Golf Club attended the club’s annual business meeting at the municipal golf course on Saturday, Oct. 10 and then played in the Championship Tournament.

Golf club member James Waters said the business meeting consisted of electing three new board members and recognition of a long-time club member.

During the meeting, Harold Cox was given a plaque and recognized for 30 years of service to the golf club.

“We wanted to show Harold our appreciation for all the years he helped improve the club with planting of trees and grass, and getting the clubhouse and cart house built at no cost to the club,” Waters said. “Normally, we had more money in the bank after these improvements were made.”

After the meeting, the golfers took to the course for a 1:00 p.m. tee off.
