Producers needing to accrue Continuing Education Units can do so Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Big Country CEU Conference in Abilene.

The day-long program will consist of six one-hour classes covering different topics. Five Agriculture CEUs and up to six Structural CEUs will be offered.

“It’s an opportunity for people to get CEUs at the end of the year if anyone needs them,” said Shackelford County Extension agent Kelsey Bell, who will help with the event. “This is an opportunity to get several.”

The program gets underway at 8:00 a.m. at Taylor County Expo Center’s Big Country Hall in Abilene. Attendees should enter through Gate 5 off the Loop 322 access road.

Cost is $60 if registered by Friday, Dec. 2. After that, the price goes up to $70.

Email registration should be sent to tlbelyeu @ag.tamu.edu and include the registrant’s full name and phone number. Those paying for multiple individuals should include their names and phone numbers, as well. For easy recognition of registration, please put CEU CONFERENCE in subject line.

Once submitted, registrants will receive an email from “Extension Council” with a link to input payment information. Upon payment, a receipt will automatically be generated and sent in a separate email.

To pay by mail, send checks made payable to EXTENSION COUNCIL to Taylor County Extension, 1982 Lytle Way, Abilene, Texas 79602. Include name and phone number of all individuals included in payment. In-person registration and payment can be done at the Taylor County Extension Office located next to Big Country Hall from 8:00 a.m.-noon and 1:00-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
