County 4-H’ers to meet Dec. 8, 17

Activities for 4-H and FFA members increase as the year-end approaches.

 4-H Shooting Sports

The Shackelford County 4 –H Club will be hosting a shooting sports meeting next Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 5:45 p.m. at First Christian Church. 

Shackelford County Extension Agent Kloey Painter said all of the shooting sports options will be discussed at the meeting.

“We will introduce coaches and go over important information for the shooting sports season,” said Painter.

4-H Christmas Party

County 4-H members will hold their Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 2:00 p.m. 

“School gets out early that day,” said Painter. “We’re going to have our party right after the kids get out of school.”

FFA Area Competition

The Greenhand Radio team advanced at District to compete at Area 4 last Monday, Nov. 23 in Mineral Wells.

The team placed ninth in the area, which will prevent them from advancing, as only the top two teams move on to the next level of competition. 

Team members are Braylyn Abbate, Robyn Trail, and Kiana Roberson.
