Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church will hold a fundraising concert and auction Sunday, April 16 in support of its youth mission trip this summer to Belize.

Tickets for the Christian concert by The Well and E-Grace are $25 and available at the Albany Chamber of Commerce, Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church office, Blanton-Caldwell, or by texting or calling MMPC youth minister Becky Wills at 325-669-9804.

“Youth going on the mission trip are also selling tickets,” Wills said.

Tickets will be available at the door unless the event sells out.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with a silent auction. The concert and live auction will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Among the items up for auction are a trophy Longhorn steer, a three-hour helicopter hunt, and a two-night stay at the historic missile base, a registered Jack Russell puppy, and a table for 10 at Polo on the Prairie. Several food and dining opportunities will also be available.

“One item not on the list that might be an eyecatcher is four premium seats for the Bellamy Brothers live  on July 1 at Wild Wills in Ranger,” Wills said. “We did the list before we got those tickets.”

The mission trip to Belize is scheduled for July 7-14.

“The high school youth  will be leading Vacation Bible School for children in the rural villages of Bermudian Landing,” Wills said. “They will lead a youth rally night and make home visits delivering food and necessities and sharing the love of Jesus with the widows and the needy.”
