Community garage sale set

The Albany Chamber of Commerce annual garage sale will take place on Saturday, Sept. 11.

Chamber manager Mary Beth Jones said participants can register to get on the map between Aug. 17 and Sept. 3.

To be registered, included on the map, and receive a sign will cost $10.

“Signs will not need to be returned anymore,” Jones said. “The signs will be metal or plastic, but you cannot use them every year, as they will include your map number.”

Signs will be ready for participants to pick up Tuesday through Thursday the week of the event.

Free maps will be printed and available on the day of the sale.

Jones added that she will open the Chamber office from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. on the day of the garage sale to hand out maps.

Maps will still be available after 10:00 a.m., and they will be left outside of the Chamber door.

Traditionally the Chamber sponsors the city-wide event on the second Saturday in September.
