Two items that Moran residents may need to put on their calendar for next week include the government commodity pick-up and the annual holiday craft fair.

Commodities

The pick-up day for Moran commodities has been moved back to Thursdays starting in December. Those receiving the government commodities also need to note that the hours have changed, and the food items must be claimed during the two-hour scheduled time slot.

Moran commodities will be available for pick-up by eligible families on Thursday, Dec. 5, at Moran City Hall from 9:00 -11:00 a.m.

Holiday Craft Fair

Reservations are being accepted for vendor spots at the Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair that will be held at the Moran Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Vendors are encouraged to sign up before all of the 20 available slots are claimed. Costs are $20 each.

For more information or to reserve a vendor spot, contact Michelle Taggart by email at mltc76@yahoo.com.

“Come and get all of your holiday shopping done early,” said Taggart. “We are expecting arts and crafts and homemade items to be offered. There should be something for everyone.”
