Colter Edgar placed second in his division with a barrow as Albany FFA and 4-H members completed participation in the San Angelo Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Five Albany students exhibited barrows in the swine show, which wrapped up Thursday, Feb. 17. The San Angelo show concluded on Sunday, Feb. 20.

Edgar competed in the Lightweight Cross division in San Angelo. His second-place finish enabled him to make the sale with the animal.

Also showing barrows were Callan Edgar, Tye Edgar, Tatum Grady, and Paige Price.

During the last week, four Albany students placed with their entries at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, which runs through Sunday, Feb. 27. County students were still in the ring at press time and will be reported next week.

Gracie Price took third place with her Maine-Anjou heifer. In the Other Registered Breeds (ORB) heifer division, Myleigh Leveridge placed fourth and Madailein Beard was 10th with an ORB heifer.

Colter Edgar placed ninth with his Hampshire barrow.

Also exhibiting barrows at San Antonio were Cooper Edgar, Chelsy Parsons, Connor Smith, and Luke Smith.

Other participants were Harper Hargett in the goat show and Pepper Martin in the lamb show.
