Closet Angels looking for volunteers

By Sandy Morris

Local residents who are looking for an opportunity to volunteer may want to consider Closet Angels, the local clothing ministry.

Organizers of the group are hoping to expand the number of volunteers at the organization in preparation for expected new growth.

Closet Angels director Lori Reames said extra help is needed in several different areas, including social media.

“This volunteer would help with promotions on Facebook and Instagram,” said Reames. “Some photography work may be needed as well. This could turn into a two-person team and would be a great opportunity for a college resume.”

Other areas where help is needed include backup front desk, sorters, laundry, shoes, hangers/general tidying, grounds keeper, and stockers.

“I really try to make sure anyone who wants to volunteer is a good fit for our ministry,” Reames said. “Prospective helpers can contact me for a time to sit down and talk about the opportunities we have available. It’s so important to have the right people in the right place to continue to make Closet Angels successful.”

Persons interested in volunteering can email Reames at lorireames@gmail.com or call her at 325-721-8620.
