Closet Angels will be closed over spring break, as it typically follows the school closure schedule, but the facility will also be closed on Saturday, March 12, according to director Lori Reames.

The ministry normally opens the second Saturday of each month, but a combination of factors contributed to the decision not to open this weekend, Reames said.

“It’s supposed to be cold this Saturday, and we’re still kind of shorthanded, too,” Reames said.  “Also, once kids get out of school on Friday, a lot of people have plans. We never have very good luck around spring break.”

Closet Angels relies on volunteers, and some of those will be out of town during spring break or devoting time to family activities.

Reames said Closet Angels will reopen Monday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 23. Monday hours of operation are noon to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday hours are 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
