Closet Angels to be open next week

Closet Angels will depart from the practice of past years and be open for business during spring break, director Lori Reames said.

The clothing ministry will conduct regular hours of noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 11.

“I had two ladies step up and say they can open this Monday,” Reames said.

In addition, Closet Angels will conduct its Second Saturday hours of 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.

“We’re hoping to draw in some of the high school students,” Reames said. “This will give them the best chance to come in and shop and sign up for the $100 drawing that’s just available for high school students in Shackelford County.”

The prize drawing will be held Monday, May 13.

“Every time they shop between now and May 13, they can enter for that drawing,” Reames said.

Reames said a good turnout by students next week could lead to Closet Angels opening during school breaks in the future.

“We’re trying to draw in more of the younger shoppers, just attract more people who want to save money,” she said.
