Local ministries Closet Angels and Neighbors in Need will be closed June 28 through July 18.

“Closet Angels will be closed for three weeks to allow volunteers to take vacations and also to catch up on processing a massive amount of donations,” said coordinator Lori Reames.

While Closet Angels is set to reopen on July 19, Neighbors in Need will be closing indefinitely.

“We are looking to merge Closet Angels, Neighbors in Need, and Chelsey’s Project into one building and ministry,” explained Reames. “We are working to begin raising funds for a new building.”

Clara Miller, coordinator of Neighbors in Need, with Mati Rupp’s help, will head up an online boutique that will serve as a fundraiser for the new merger.

“While NIN is temporarily closing, Clara will still work with families needing appliances, beds, and necessities,” said Reames.
