City-wide garage sale set Sept. 14

The Albany Chamber of Commerce annual garage sale is just over two weeks away, on Sept. 14, so participants may want to take advantage of this weekend’s slightly cooler temperatures to sort through items stored in garages, spare rooms, sheds, and attics and gather up items to sell.

The signup fee to register a garage sale, be included on the map, and receive a sign number is $25 again this year. 

“The signs will be available for pickup the week of the sale,” said Jones. “Ten dollars of the signup fee will be returned upon request, when returning the sign.”

Free maps showing all of the registered garage sales will be available at the Depot on the day of the sale.

The Albany High School Class of 2020 plans to join in the garage sale as their first fundraiser for Project Graduation.

The seniors’ sale will be at Southwest International, directly across from Fox Tank.

Traditionally, the Chamber has sponsored the city-wide garage sale on the second Saturday in September.
