City fire dept. plans Labor Day fundraiser

The Albany Volunteer Fire Department has scheduled its Burgers and Birds fundraiser for 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2 at the fire station at 609 Railroad St. “We’ll have hamburgers with all the fixings, a choice of chips, and a drink,” AVFD Chief Joel Viertel said.
