Churches to start children’s programs

Several Albany churches and organizations have begun youth services for students, with children’s ministries set to start up in the next week.

The Albany Church of Christ had its first children’s activities on Wednesday, Sept. 1.

The Youth in Action kids, junior high and high school, will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Classes for ages up to sixth grade will have classes from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m.

Friendship Baptist

Friendship Baptist Church is having a back-to-school event on Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with air castles and hot dogs available.

A week after that, on Sept. 15, regular Wednesday activities will get underway.

Children aged four years old through sixth grade will meet from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., and seventh through 12th graders will have Bible study from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

First Baptist

First Baptist Church youth events are held Wednesdays, with junior high students meeting from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. and high school students from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.

Jesus and Me (JAM) for kindergarten through sixth grade will begin sessions on Sept. 8.

Recreation will start at 5:15 p.m., followed by a meal. Bible study begins at 5:40 p.m.

Parents can pick up children at 7:20 p.m.

MMPC

Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church will begin Mothers Day Out on Friday, Sept. 10.

The church is also hosting Wednesday night study groups for junior high and high school students.

Methodist Church

The Methodist Church hosts Celebrate Recovery meetings at 7:00 p.m. each Monday at the church.

Ministerial Alliance

The Ministerial Alliance has resumed its jail ministry with meetings every Tuesday evening.
