Churches to host special services

Several Albany churches will conduct special services as part of their Christmas celebrations this weekend.

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church will have a Christmas Eve Children’s service at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24.

A Christmas Day worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

First Christian

First Christian Church will hold a special Christmas Eve service Friday at 6:00 p.m. with a Texas Country Christmas. 

Randall Palmore and John Caldwell will provide music, along with Kirstin Hilliard and Carley Price. Sam Davis and Bob Skelton will present Christmas readings.

A candlelight communion will be part of the service.

Methodist Church

Members of the Albany Methodist Church will host a candlelight Christmas Eve service starting at 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 24.

Everyone is invited.

MMPC

Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church will host a candlelight service at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary.

Then the next day, members of the congregation will host the church’s annual Christmas Day Feast, set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 25 in the Fellowship Hall.

The event is open to everyone at no charge.

Meals are available for dine-in or pickup. There will be limited delivery to shut-ins and those unable to come to the church.
