This scholarship goes to an Albany student who is in the top 25 percent of his/her class and participated in varsity athletics.

Jackson will attend Texas A&M University in the fall and plans to study agricultural business.

Throughout high school, Jackson was involved in baseball, basketball, football, academic UIL, National Honor Society, theatre and FFA. He was a class officer and volunteered for a number of initiatives, including hurricane relief mission trips to New Orleans, Louisiana and Rockport, Texas, community garden project, elementary school volunteer, and Little League volunteer.

“I am honored to be selected as a recipient of the Nancy and Ted Paup Big Country Hall of Fame Scholarship,” said Chapman. “Your generosity will help a great deal with my tuition. My goal after I graduate is to one day to start my own seed and chemical company. I hope to one day to be able to help students just as you have helped me.”

This scholarship was established by Nancy and Ted Paup, who love the Albany community and are passionate about supporting educational opportunities for Albany students.
