Chamber to hold annual membership meeting this Friday
The annual membership meeting of the Albany Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Icehouse Restaurant, starting at 12:00 noon. Chamber members will vote on a slate of directors whose terms have expired, followed by the election of officers for the next year.
The board will meet to elect officers for the coming year following the directors’ election. All Chamber members are welcome to attend the lunch. The cost of the meal is $15.
The annual Membership Appreciation Crawfish Boil has been set for Thursday, April 11. Members who have renewed their memberships are invited to attend, along with prospective members who are welcome to join the evening of the dinner.
“The membership letters will be going out this week,” Chamber manager Brandi Lehew said. “Anyone who wants to become a member can drop by the Chamber office to join.”
The Chamber has updated its membership levels for 2025. Non-profit organizations and retirees can join for $50 per year, while individuals and families have an annual membership fee of $75. Business memberships are now structured based on company size, with businesses employing one to five people paying $150 annually, and those with more than five employees paying $200. Corporations will have a membership fee of $300 per year.
