The Albany Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Membership Drive Crawfish Drive at the Depot on April 7 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

“All Chamber members are invited,” Chamber executive secretary Mary Beth Jones said. “This is an appreciation event for all current members.”

A check-in table will be set up in the parking lot at the Chamber office for anyone who wants to join or renew a membership.

Attendees will be able to sign up for drawings to give out Albany Bucks that can be redeemed at various businesses.

Membership prices are $50 for a senior citizen, $60 for a family, and $125, $150, or $175 for businesses based on the number of employees. Corporate memberships are $300.

“Those who aren’t members are welcome to come and join at the party, or they can drop by the office before the event to obtain a membership,” Jones said. “We will be set up to take cash, cards, or checks, and feel free to bring a friend who might want to join.”

The menu for the event will feature crawfish, chicken, fish, and all the fixings. Water will be provided.

“Our job as a Commerce of Commerce is to bring people into Albany to shop, eat, tour, hunt, and possibly live or open a business here,” she said. “We host events throughout the year that put money into our economy, and that goes back into making this a great place to live.”

Reservations are not required.

“If we run out of something, we will just fry up some more fish or chicken,” Jones said.
