The Albany Chamber of Commerce is currently sending out membership notices to current members and encouraging new members to join in time for the annual Crawfish Boil set for Thursday, April 6 in the parking lot in front of the Depot.

All Chamber members are invited to attend without charge, and memberships will be available during the event for anyone wanting to attend.

“We would love to have all members come join us to share their ideas with the directors,” new Chamber manager Brandi Lehew said. “We are always looking for new ideas and welcome new members to help us carry them out.”

She added she is currently sending out letters to previous members.

“We are running a little late with the membership letters due to the change of personnel in the office,” she said. “Those who haven’t received theirs yet can go to our website to fill out a renewal form or drop by the office.”

Memberships for families and individuals is $60 per year, with senior citizens discounted to $50. Non-profit organizations can join for $35 per year.

There are three levels of business memberships based on the number of employees a company employs ranging from $125 to $175 per year.

Large corporations and colleges and universities have a membership rate of $300 per year.

The membership event will feature a crawfish boil, as well as fried fish.
