Tonight is Chrismas Eve and several local churches have announced their traditional Christmas services scheduled for the holiday.

First Christian

First Christian Church will hold its traditional Christmas Eve candlelight communion service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24.

MMPC

Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church will have a 6:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service on Thursday, Dec. 24.

Organizers are planning to hold the service outside; however, if the weather is bad, the event will be moved inside.

MMPC will hold the annual Christmas Day Feast Friday, Dec. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

No dine-in meals will be available this year due to COVID concerns, but meals are available to-go or by delivery.

To have a meal delivered, contact the church office at 325-762-2038.

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church will present the Children’s Christmas program Thursday, Dec. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

The Christmas Day service will be held Friday, Dec. 25 at 10:30 a.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

First United

Methodist Church

Last week, the News reported that First United Methodists Church had planned a candlelight service on Christmas Eve. That information was reported in error. There will  be no FUMC service on Christmas Eve. The News apologizes for the error.
