Interested parties may still attend a brush control field day scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 at the Stasney Ranch headquarters.

Shackelford County extension agent Kelsey Bell said she expects around 20, but more are welcome.

“People can just show up,” Bell said. “We’re already past the RSVP deadline, but anyone who wants to come can give me a heads-up, and I can let the caterers know we’re expecting a few more.”

The program will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Stasney headquarters and conclude around 2:00 p.m. Bell said the program will examine different methods of brush control used on the Stasney.

Scheduled speakers are Lance Thomas, Mark Moon, and Justin Odom of the Natural Resource Conservation. Odom will also cover the EQUIP program which provides funding from the USDA.

Lunch will be provided. Registration fee is $30.
