The Albany Athletic Booster Club’s annual kick off meeting for the upcoming school year will take place on Monday evening, July 15, at 6:00 p.m. at The Feed Store, and current members are already working on raising funds for the new school year by selling ads in the annual football program.

The magazine-type football program will be sold at all of the home football games and is one of the club’s biggest fundraisers.

“Proceeds support all Albany High School athletes and cheerleaders throughout the year, and we help coaches with ‘wish list’ items that sometimes do not fit into their budget at school,” said current secretary Tisha Wilkins.

Ad costs and sizes are similar to last year.

Business card size is $30, quarter page ads are $60, and half page ads are $120. Full page ads increased slightly to $250.

Ads in the program can be for any athlete, cheerleader, student, or business, and are not just for football players or seniors, according to Wilkins.

Local parents, individuals, and business owners who wish to be included in the 2019 Albany Lion home football programs should get in touch with a member of the Albany Athletic Booster Club if they are not contacted within the next couple of weeks.

“We are looking for parents to help call last year’s businesses to see about renewal,” said Wilkins. “If you want to help, or if you are a new business or family and would like to place an ad, please contact me at 325-660-7443.”

Ads need to be turned in by Monday, July 29.

The program will be finished and printed in time for the first home football game, set for Sept. 6.

Club Meeting

The Booster Club’s 2019-2020 kick off meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. at The Feed Store on Monday, July 15.

“Anyone and everyone interested in helping in any way is encouraged to attend,” said Wilkins. “We will have door prizes for those who make it to the meeting!”
